Real Madrid, the Spanish soccer club, is known for its expensive endeavors and adding to the list is its announcement to come up with an island retreat in the United Arab Emirates. The $1 billion holiday resort and theme park will be unique in itself. Real Madrid Resort Island will make the world famous name move towards the Middle East as it spreads its wings.
The plans were revealed by the executives of the club to come up with the Real Madrid Resort Island, which will come complete with beach side bungalows, a 10000 seat stadium, an amusement park and a five star hotel. The amusement park will include a roller-coaster and also a hologram show that will recreate Real Madrid’s goals. All this will be built with top class amenities on the artificial island Ras Al-Khaimah. The expensive island resort will also have a stadium that will open out in the sea, the first in the world. The club boasts of 300 million fans all across the globe and almost half are just in Asia.
The man made island is almost at an equal distant from Europe and Asia, which will give it additional reasons when it comes to attracting fans and is the real reason why it was chosen as the ideal spot for the island resort. The 430,000 square meter Real Madrid Resort Island is expected to attract as many as one million visitors when it finally gets completed in the year 2015.
