Tuft Pula to inject a feeling of warmth with its womb like interior

One look at Tuft Pula, designed by “Numen/for use,” and you are bound to slip in a state of complete amazement. The astounding interactive sculpture, designed by the Austrian-Croatian studio, is nothing less than a piece of art and has been fashioned largely using tape. The creators of Tuft Pula are known for crafting large scale sculptures and have managed to do a great job in this case as well.

Tuft Pula

Tape is an adhesive material that is used to stick things, but in this case was exploited to come up with the structural framework. The whole design has been brought to life by making good use of tufting technology. The space is habitable and has been given an organic shape, which will make eyes do a cartwheel in admiration. Lending the space much needed warmth and a sense of total pleasure is the heavy use of red. The inside has been meticulously lined with red colored carpet that is well spread all across the floor, divided into 2D segments.

On the other hand, the outer skin of the sculpture gives a very rugged look as the other side of the carpet lining has been left exposed intentionally. Such a rough presentation creates a drastic contrast to the softness executed by the res colored inside. Once seated, you will feel as if nestled inside a warm space where one can sit for long hours away from the hustle bustle. The womb like effect will help soothe frazzled nerves and presently dangles 4 meters above the ground in Pula, Croatia.
